Akane Takada wins Lausanne ballet contest for student dancers

LAUSANNE, Switzerland - Akane Takada poses for photographers after winning the prestigious Prix de Lausanne ballet competition in Switzerland on Feb. 3. The 17-year-old dancer from Tokyo, who trains at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, was among seven competitors who won the prize for young student dancers aiming to pursue a professional career.
